The Seneca Soccer Association (SSA) sponsors youth soccer teams in the travel leagues of the Metropolitan Washington, DC area, primarily the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL) for boys and the Washington Area Girls Soccer League (WAGS) for girls.

Since 1984, SSA has a long-standing philosophy of autonomous control by the member teams. We offer a club environment that encourages self-determination by our individual teams and promotes the viewpoint that there is no single formula for success in youth soccer.  Participation, growth, friendships -- these are the measures of a successful youth soccer experience and create a lifelong love of "the Beautiful Game".

In 2003, SSA formed a relationship with the Damascus Soccer Club to co-host the August Cup Tournament, which is played annually the weekend before Labor Day.  To learn more about The August Cup, click here.

Club Background: Seneca Sports Association, Inc. (SSA) is a non-profit, volunteer youth sports organization based in Germantown, Maryland.  SSA has been serving the youth of Germantown and upper Montgomery County since 1981.  Originally a football organization, through the years SSA has expanded to include cheerleading, dance, soccer, and wrestling.  We value each of our sports equally and are proud to serve the diverse sporting interests of area youth.  Require NYSCA certification of all of our coaches.  As part of our mission to provide our participants with a fun and safe environment in which to participate in youth sports, Seneca Sports Association, in late 1999 began an initiative to conduct background checks on members of our coaching staff.  Beginning Fall 2002, every coach - returning or new - is required to submit to a background screening prior to being permitted to coach with us.

Our Mission: It is the goal of SSA to improve the well being of children by providing area youth with the opportunity to participate in youth sports in an atmosphere of fun, learning, and good sportsmanship.
